*UKHotViewsExtra* Getronics continues its summer of acquisitions

Getronics has followed its recent acquisition of US-based Pomeroy (see here) with the purchase of French firm, ITS Overlap. With turnover of €50m, ITS Overlap is a considerably smaller transaction, but nonetheless it enables Getronics to broaden its existing portfolio of offerings and customer base in France. Existing ITS Overlap customers will gain access to Getronics’ (growing) global capabilities.

Acquisitions have formed a significant part of Getronics’ history, and it is almost certain that more are on the cards. We recently spoke to Mark Cook, Getronics Group Vice Chairman, who was instrumental in closing the Pomeroy deal that transformed Getronics into a $1.3bn business. Cook gave us a bit more background to the deal and the further ambitions of the mid-market specialist, which was sold to its current Brazilian owners almost exactly a year before the Pomeroy deal closed.
