Angela Eager joined TechMarketView in June 2011 as Research Director for ESASViews (Enterprise Software & Application Services). A respected industry analyst with over 20 years experience assessing the IT market, she is known for her in depth knowledge of the business enterprise applications sector, most notably the ERP and CRM segments, and as an early commentator on SaaS and cloud developments.

Before joining TechMarketView Angela was senior analyst at Ovum/Butler Group, playing a key role in planning and executing the enterprise applications coverage, taking the lead role on major reports covering enterprise application evolution and customer relationship management (CRM). She was also responsible for carrying out comparative assessments, evaluating vendor strategies, application capabilities, business models, and market and technology developments.

Extensive work with vendors, the partner ecosystems around them, and enterprise clients, has led to valuable insight into the differing needs of each party. Vendors and enterprise clients value her opinion and she has participated in confidential consultancy projects covering strategy and business technology selection.

With a career that has also included roles as Principal Analyst for online daily IT industry publisher ComputerWire and various Editor and Executive Editor roles for UK IT publications, Angela has a good perspective on vendor, partner, and enterprise client requirements.

Angela has a BA (Hons) in Combined Arts.
