Spring Budget 2017

Although Philip Hammond’s first (and last) Spring Budget contains few surprises—the main announcements (e.g. more grammar schools, increased social care funding, technical skills and improved productivity) having been heavily trailed over the past week—we now have the full details and understand more about its implications for UK SITS suppliers. It was a cautious, but forward looking Budget, which reaffirms the Government’s view that research and technology need to play an increasingly important role in Britain’s future.
