Anthony Miller is TechMarketView's co-founder and Managing Partner. With over 40 years in the IT industry, he is well known as an influential analyst and engaging commentator on the UK tech scene.

Anthony joined IBM UK after studying Electronic Engineering at Southampton University. At IBM he worked with clients across many industry sectors as a technical consultant before emigrating to Australia in the late ‘70’s. Anthony held various management positions with IBM in Sydney and Tokyo where he was ultimately responsible for IBM’s enterprise systems product management throughout Australia and New Zealand. He left IBM in 1992 to join IT industry research firm IDC in Sydney, where he devised and launched one of Australia's leading CIO networks. Anthony returned to the UK in 1994 where he was appointed IDC UK Research Manager with a special emphasis on IT services.

Anthony joined Richard Holway Ltd in 1997 (as employee #2!). He helped build the business until it was acquired at the end of 2000 by leading European IT research firm Ovum, and continued to manage the then Ovum Holway brand for another four years. In 2004 he left Ovum to become a partner in equities research firm Arete, advising institutional investors and hedge fund managers on the investment potential in leading UK, European and Indian software and IT services firms.

Anthony once again joined forces with Richard Holway in 2008 to launch TechMarketView, where he leads TechMarketView’s Little British Battler and Great British Scaleup programmes supporting UK tech SMEs.

Anthony is also a Board Member of UK hi-tech industry association, techUK.
